Audio-Video Studios 

Journalism and Mass Communication is a rapidly expanding industry which is attracting attention of youngsters those are interested in pursuing their career in print and electronic media. Students of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar are trained in different dimensions of mass communication such as reporting, writing, editing, photographing and advertising. State of the art studios help students to learn all aspects of film making, TV production and TV Journalism and enables students to keep up with the demands of changing media scenario. KMV organizes various workshops, guest lectures and panel discussions by eminent personalities time to time to keep students updated about current scenario. Also periodic visits to radio stations, TV stations and newspaper offices are also organized by the institution which enables students to experience mass media and journalism industry and to foster the expression of creativity among students. KMV prepares students for various career opportunities like radio jockey, editor, script writer, journalism etc.

Innovation hub

Innovation hub is an independent place of learning, inspiration, motivation, recreation, imagination and thinking. In order to enhance the creativity and skill in education of basic Physics, some experiments like Circular pendulum, Anharmonic oscillator, Transmission line, Black hole, Air cannon, Doppler Effect, Rotational Motion, Motion in inclined plane, Energy transfer in spring etc are introduced in this lab. It makes easier for students to understand concepts of Physics in a practical way. Further, handmade projects developed by KMV students like laser security system, air gun, rocket launcher, remote controlled robot etc. are also showcased in this lab. Innovation hub is very essential part of a quality education, where visitor can get a feel that how the great scientific innovations might have evolved through small efforts of the beginner. It’s an effort to develop momentum in the minds of young students. Innovation hub in our institution is a place where students explore and hence devices various scientific models. In future they can sell their unique ideas for market values.

Sukriti-The Retail Lab

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar has aimed at building and enhancing the entrepreneurial skills of students. Students develop their business ideas and assess the viability of their ideas by running “Sukriti-The Retail Lab” which is a realistic point-of-sale facility in which specific measures for strategy implementation such as visual merchandising, store operations, merchandising management, stock handling, cash handling and in particular customer dealing is illustrated vividly and geared towards practical application. The Retail Lab design enables students to experience key industry retail processes. In addition to illustrating retail-related elements,under“KMV Budding Entrepreneurs”venturestudents choose their practical projects based on current research issues. It is an excellent opportunity for students for networking and team building. It also provides leadership opportunities to students. They develop key entrepreneurial traits. The venture is dedicated to furthering understanding about new and small businesses. Students independently develop value propositions within a variety of execution parameters to stimulate their creativity.  Students create sales goals, identify what is required to operate their concept successfully, define team roles and identify marketing strategies to achieve sales goals. In this way, the venture allows underlying theory to be linked to exemplary applications and practical experience, while also laying the foundations for ongoing applied research and collaborative projects with retail industry.

Animation Labs

Global animation industry is expanding very fast. Various industries like Gaming, Media and Entertainment has made a deeper impact on the worldwide market. So animation industry is becoming a popular field among youngsters and our institution is catering these needs by providing 2D and 3D Animation labs. These labs exhibit state of art infrastructure with high-end i7 systems, Workstations, CINTIQ tablets, Wacom Bamboo tablets, and latest software catering the requirements of Graphic designing, 2D Animation and 3D Animation.

Cuisine Cooking Lab

Cuisine Cooking Lab of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandharis fully furnished and equipped with culinary equipment’s for cooking such as baking, frying, grilling, boiling and steaming. In the cuisine cooking lab, students prepare varieties of dishes like chocolate, cake, muffins, tart, cookies, coconut ladoo, oats ladoo and protein bars.  To train students for multi cuisine, related videos of best chefsare alsoshown to students. Students are trained to become entrepreneurs and establish their own food business. Institution caters needs of students by providing facilities like weighing machine, sphygmomanometer, steadometer and glucometer.  Students are encouraged to use their innovation skills and evolve their own products which are more nutritive and different from the conventional ones and add variety at parties or at dinning table. Our institution prepares students for different professional disciplines like Dieticians, Food Technologists, Bakers, and Chefs etc. Students have got an opportunity to run diet clinic in the institution itself.

Fashion Designing Lab

Fashion designing promises a structured career path for growth and development.KMV’s motto ‘earn while you learn’ is a hallmark feature of academics where students are trained not only for creating products, but also skilled in their marketing while dealing with real customers. Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar has three high-tech cutting and stitching labsthose are fully equipped with automatic computerized embroidery machines, high speed industrial machines, electronic sewing machines etc. Institution has an excellent infrastructure, latest equipments in Textile lab, Draping Lab,Stitching lab and CAD Lab where students are trained to become entrepreneurs in the essentials of conceiving, planning, initiating and launching an economic activities or an enterprise successfully.To promote the handloom culture they are also learning the handloom weaving. Students run their own boutique named “K.K. Boutique” within the institution campus where students learn to create revenue. Thus Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar gives safe and practical ambience to its students.

To promote skill development among students, institution organises an annual exhibition “Sukriti- A beautiful creation” in which students prepares as well as exhibit their self -created designs.In addition to cutting and stitching lab, institution has computer lab installed with latest designing, draping and pattern making softwares. Institution provides computer based teaching using projectors to give a global experience about the fashion market.

Our budding designers also organisesFashion show “Sukriti” annually. It encourages students to freely share their creative ideas those can be successfully executed with the support of faculty and resources available. These creative showshelp to develop an atmosphere of new start-up in the students. It is an exclusive platform to connect students with fashion scenario & trends. As a mark of entrepreneurship, students have launched an online selling portal named KMVfdians on Amazon through which students are able to get orders from different parts of country. Such entrepreneurial ventures provide substantial exposure to students and also help them excel in their craft. These activities help them to target global audience, thereby increasing sales opportunities.

Cosmetology Lab

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar is fully furnished with latest and advance equipments and tools like Microderma –Abrasion, High FrequencySkin analyser, Gelvanic, Brushing unit and UVSterlizer to enhance skills of the student for their bright future.Institution provides computer based teaching, using projectors to give a global experience about the cosmetic market.KMV organizes various workshops, guest lectures by eminent personalities time to time to keep students updated about current scenario. To foster entrepreneurship among students, Beauty studios are set up in the institution. Students are made ready for various professions like hairstylist, beautician, makeup artist etc.
