Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar an Autonomous and Heritage institution has a culture of inculcating innovative minds among its students. Recently KMViets have developed a prototype on futuristic driverless car. The idea behind this project is to visualize the futuristic driverless car with essential safety features as the future of roads. Just an oral or a written command to the vehicle interface will take us to our destination. This innovative idea of students of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar has got selected in TOYCATHON-2021. Under the ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ initiated by our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi, Toycathon-2021 is conceived to challenge India’s innovative minds to conceptualize novel Toy and Games based on Bharatiya civilization, history, culture, mythology and ethos. Physical edition of Grand finale Toycathon 2022 was conducted by Ministry of Innovation Council with support from All India Council for Technical Education on 24th to 26th May 2022 at total five centres all over the India . Two students along with two faculty members of KMV, Jal. participated at nodal centre Panipat Institute of Engineeing and Technology, Panipat. KMV Jalandhar was the only institute from Jalandhar who have got shortlisted to participate in the event. In this three day program, there were five different rounds in which judges challenged participants’ creativity by giving different problems. Each problem raised level of difficulty and competition. Students successfully completed all the levels and ended up with designing of brand new android based application. Very soon this application will be available commercially. Overall this was a great exposure for students as well as faculty members. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated KMV team of Toycathon – 2022 for getting shortlisted among India’s top innovative minds and boosted up the team to make the product commercially available.
